1. Booking and Payment Policies
Deposit:
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total trek cost is required to secure your booking.
Booking Confirmation:
Bookings are confirmed via email upon receipt of 20% of the total trek cost, or full payment.
Final Payment:
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the trek’s start date. Bookings made less than 30 days prior to the trek require full payment at the time of booking.
Payment Methods:
We accept payments via bank transfer and cards (upon arrival). Any additional transaction fees are the client’s responsibility.
2. Amendment Policies
Changes to trek dates, group size, or itineraries must be requested at least 30 days before the trek start date. Amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
3. Health and Fitness Requirements
Clients must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions that may require attention and special medication during the trek. On a group joining trek, clients’ health conditions must not hinder the group to follow the pace set by guide.
4. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients and must cover emergencies such as medical evacuation, injury, and illness that correspond to the elevation gained during the trek, or trip cancellations. Proof of insurance may be requested prior to the trek.
5. Legal Compliance:
The client/s agrees to comply with all legislation, visas, immigration, customs and foreign exchange regulations; should there be any contravention by the client/s of the laws of Nepal, Junkiri Treks shall have the right to require the clients/s to leave the tour without recourse to refund.
6. Liability Disclaimer
Junkiri Trekking is not liable for injuries, delays, theft, natural disasters, emergency evacuation or other events beyond its control. Clients participate in treks at their own risk.
7. Changes to Itineraries
Itineraries may be adjusted due to weather, natural disasters, political situations, or other unforeseen circumstances. Junkiri Trekking will ensure that clients are promptly informed of any changes. No refunds will be provided for itinerary modifications.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are required to:

- Ensure the safety of personal belongings and provide accurate documentation (passport, visas, permits).

9. Force Majeure Clause
Junkiri Trekking is not responsible for disruptions caused by events such as earthquakes, pandemics, or political unrest. Refunds or rescheduling may be offered at the company’s discretion.
10. Permits and Documentation
Clients must provide valid passports, visas, and other required permits
11. Group Joining and Solo Trek Policies
Group treks require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum is not met, clients may choose a private trek or reschedule. Solo treks are available upon request with additional charges.
12. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Complaints should be reported promptly during the trek to allow resolution on-site. Unresolved disputes will be governed by the laws of Nepal, and the Kathmandu District Court will have jurisdiction.
13. Code of Conduct
Clients are expected to respect local communities, cultural heritage, and the environment. Littering, disruptive behavior, or unethical practices will not be tolerated.
