Krishna Hari Khatri

Posted By : admin/ 0

Born in the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley, Krishna grew up admiring the mountains and strolling in the narrow alleys of Kathmandu. Although he began his career as a lecturer at the university, he ended up being a Sales Executive at Danish Travel Agency in Kathmandu, by chance. After working there for 7 years, he moved to another reputed company and worked as a General manager for 6 years. During his career of over 13 years, he earned the first-hand experience of liaising with Europe-based travel agencies and customers, overseeing large-scale logistics, managing a company, and guiding expeditions to mountains and cities.

He spends most of his time behind the computer screen to make sure everyone is happy, and the trip is run seamlessly. When there is less operational load, he would sling on his backpack, slip into his shoes, and set off for serious hiking, sometimes leading the expeditions himself.

Over his 14-year career, he has participated in several training and skill development programs that include Basic and Advance First Aid, Basic Ice Fall Climbing, AWFA, Mountain Leader Course, Map reading and Navigation, etc.  Besides leading trekking expeditions, he also guides city tours and Mt. If he is not in the mountains you will find him working in his small coffee farm.

Bhim Tamang

Bhim was born in the Bhojpur district of eastern Nepal, in the foothills of Mt. Makalu. He grew up watching the mountains every day braving the cold mountain air but he never thought he would work as a trekking guide. He came to Kathmandu in 2006 in the pursuit of happiness and he found his happiness in the mountains while guiding tourists. Like most of the guides, he also started as a porter but within a couple of years, he transitioned to leading the groups. His obsession with mountains has anchored him in tourism for nearly 20 years. The best thing about Bhim is his ability to find ways to make customers happy, every day. Albeit being a good guide, he is a very good photographer with substantial Instagram followers.
